"What's My Story"

Each of us has a story to tell...........
....for some it's a happy one ........
......for others it's one of struggle ........
.........others may be of challenges ...........
.........and others one of achievements........

BUT you know what .......... really for all of us it is and always will be a combination of all of these things. It's a matter of how we view things. We are all unique and we all have our own story to tell. Others can learn from us , each and every one of us.

So whats my story- what can you learn from me?

I'm a typical Mum , have raised my children and still doing so. I have grandchildren, whom I rarely see. I'm a wife ( two times over) and now a carer to boot.

LESSON 1: There are no guarantees in life.

When we get married (happiest day of our life) we have this preconceived idea of what our life will be like - happily ever after , beautiful children , good job, good health and grow old together.

( but guess what - someone or something can throw a curve ball)

LESSON 2: Family life takes time and effort.

So many things tend to take priority over our time, rob us of that valuable commodity which we must use to nurture our family whilst young. So we need to recognise this and change our situation. ( Sad to say -we can't turn back the hands of time.)

LESSON 3: We earn credentials along the way.

What am I talking about I hear you say. Well think about this ......

  • before marriage and children-we think only of ourselves

after- WIFE, MUM, CARER,

NURSE, TEACHER

  • before grandchildren-no one to pass on our wisdom to
after- ADVISOR
  • before sickness- didn't know what we had until we lost it

after- COUNSELLOR

  • before loss of job-belief in system of permanent jobs

after-SELF SUFFICIENCY

So you see these are but a few of the lessons learnt throughout my life and a few of the credentials I have earnt. Earnt being the correct word because they are not just given to us but we pay a price for them, whether it be an investment of time and energies or whether it be the actual pain and suffering incurred at the time. No matter what- good or bad these are the things that make us who we are?

Life is what we make it - don't rely on others to make it for you. Self sufficiency is a desire of many and it is achievable by putting into use all your credentials earned and belief in yourself

-you can acheive it.

"Believe in yourself and others will believe in you"

........please leave a comment and tell me your story........
